One Day Mission Trip and Six Days of ‘Gala’ in the Philippines

June 2, in the super early morning, my friend Beth and I traveled to the Philippines with the purpose of joining a medical mission and, of course, traveling around my country. It has always been my dream to do something special on my birthday (June 12). Though the medical mission was on June 3, I still grabbed the chance to serve some people in my birth month. I also contributed to feeding the children there and supported a Vacation Bible School (VBS) in another community. It felt so right to be a blessing to others. Everything I have right now is from God, something I should not keep but share because these are not mine but His. When Jose messaged me, I immediately said yes without hesitation and thought of donating for the children.   After the medical mission in the afternoon, we went to a river near where we stayed. It was a beautiful place to relax and bond with friends, a perfect way to end the day. The next day, early morning again, we traveled to Tarlac with plans to hike Mount

Welcome  to my nearly daily introspection, musings, blog, and life's unfolding drama (a.k.a. my online diary) - RGO June 18, 2024:   Hi, I have no update for more than a month so I will write long haha. I was so busy. Before I went to the Philippines, I had to prepare for a presentation. On May 31st, I presented the results of the first aim of my dissertation. It was a stressful week, but thank God I was able to share the first part of my research. After that, I went back to my country with my friend Beth to join a medical mission and tour her around the Philippines. It was another great experience with her and some friends who were my students. I really enjoyed the company and praise God for these wonderful people. We tried to give Beth a little taste of what the Philippines is like. I let her experience our public transportation, such as the jeepney and tricycle. Then, after a week, we came back to Taiwan. And just yesterday, she left 😢, she went back to the US. I wanted to shar
