From Fear to Fun: My Solo Adventure in Cebu

Image
I just want to start by saying it was supposed to be a trip with my co-workers, but because of Typhoon Gaemi, they were not able to make it to the airport, so I was the only one who went to Cebu. I am used to traveling alone, but this was my first time having a solo trip like this, including all the activities I did. I would love to do it again or have this kind of solo trip. It was super duper fun. Thanks to my aunt (TrekEarth Travel and Tours) for arranging everything for me (us, supposedly). It made my travel easier and less hassle. Of course, thank God, because everything was smooth;  He provided everything I needed to get to the airport. And  He protected and guided me throughout the travel. I truly felt His presence. Lastly, to all the guides I met, they were all kind and helpful. Day 1: Moalboal Adventures The first day of the tour started early at 4 AM when we headed to Moalboal for snorkeling with sea turtles and sardines. It took us about two hours to reach the place...

One Day Mission Trip and Six Days of ‘Gala’ in the Philippines

Image
June 2, in the super early morning, my friend Beth and I traveled to the Philippines with the purpose of joining a medical mission and, of course, traveling around my country. It has always been my dream to do something special on my birthday (June 12). Though the medical mission was on June 3, I still grabbed the chance to serve some people in my birth month. I also contributed to feeding the children there and supported a Vacation Bible School (VBS) in another community. It felt so right to be a blessing to others. Everything I have right now is from God, something I should not keep but share because these are not mine but His. When Jose messaged me, I immediately said yes without hesitation and thought of donating for the children.   After the medical mission in the afternoon, we went to a river near where we stayed. It was a beautiful place to relax and bond with friends, a perfect way to end the day. The next day, early morning again, we traveled to Tarlac with plans to hike M...

Discovering Japan: A Journey of History, Friendship, and Gratitude

Discovering Japan: A Journey of History, Friendship, and Gratitude By Ruchel Gagarin Oasan  ( 歐善璐 ) Embracing the Beauty of Japan and Beyond After a whirlwind six-day adventure across Japan, I find myself overflowing with emotions and thoughts. While my wallet may be a bit lighter, my heart is undoubtedly fuller. Japan, a country rich in history and culture, unfolded before me in a spectacular way. I've always been somewhat indifferent to history, but this trip changed that. Exploring four vibrant cities, including my now favorite, Kyoto, I found myself awestruck by the wealth of historical sites. Museums, palaces, shrines, and castles whispered tales of a past that, despite its complexities and shadows – notably Japan's role in World War II – left me with a deep appreciation for the nation's journey. The Joy of Shared Experiences This journey wouldn't have been the same without my travel companion, Beth. Initially, I harbored fears that our partnership might not gel pe...

Exploring Hanoi and Beyond: Discovering the Wonders of Vietnam

Image
I recently traveled to Hanoi, Vietnam. The short yet incredibly rewarding trip prompted me to share my experiences and the places I visited. I arranged my flight ticket through the TrekEarth Travel and Tours. Their exceptional accommodation and assistance made the process hassle-free. They helped me secure a comprehensive package, which covered essentials such as accommodations, round-trip private transfers, a Halong Bay excursion, meals, guided tours, and entrance fees. Upon arrival at the airport, I was warmly received by a representative who escorted me to the Lenid Tho Nhuom Hotel, where I spent the night.  On the first day, I explored the renowned old train street, making the most of the free time. The subsequent day commenced with the tour bus picking us up from the hotel and transporting us to the Tuan Chau International Port. From there, we embarked on the Le Journey Cruise for our Halong Bay adventure. Halong Bay is renowned for its captivating landscapes that evoke images...
