Death is not the end

I wrote this during the peak of COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines, when everyone is so worried and anxious.

It is normal to be scared and panic. But I want to tell you that there is nothing to be scared of if you are on the side of the Lord. The things happening around us are just signs that Jesus Christ is really coming soon. There is nothing we can do to stop these things from happening, but there is something we can do as Christians to make the second coming of Christ sooner.

Let us grab this opportunity to share God’s word, love, hope, and peace to others. Let us not be weary, do not fear or panic. If we are really on His side then we should be glad that these things are happening. If we die now because of COVID-19, then so be it. Death is not the end of everything for those who believed in the Lord, in His words and followed His commands. Instead, there is an assurance of eternal life for them. Besides, when you die, your sufferings are over, and you will not experience the worst things that might happen in the future (just saying but I am not hoping that we should die now).

I am hoping and praying that the things happening around us will help us strengthen our faith and will urge us to share God’s love to others that they may also receive the hope that everyone should have. Again, death is not the end, it is the beginning of eternal life if you are in God’s side.

Choose you this day on whom you will serve, but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15
